trees adorn every street corner
wishes overheard by a countless number
a joyous occasion?
christmas hymms broadcasted
even over sitted buddhas
meaningless to many
are the lyrics of salvation
lights are hung up
the bright star on the tree
presents for everyone else
lets not miss out
some dun celebrate
the birthday of Christ
but guess we're not better off
forgetting what he did for us
christmas cheer and drunken hangovers
spending for loved ones is our only charity
or at best spending time watching the tv
surely, we're missing something...
surely the lights dun cover our darkness
surely the presents dun fill our void
surely the wishes dun give us peace
surely, christmas must mean so much more
more than the presents
more than the profits
more than even each other
Christmas doesnt hv Christ for naught!
